"Dimensional Username": Tad Strange

Age: Older than Bill by a few thousand years.

Species: Same as Bill; their true species name is unpronounceable by human tongues. Dislikes the term "demon" for the unflattering picture it paints.

Pronouns: He/Him

Background: Tad hails from the same dimension as Bill Cipher, a world inhabited by eldritch beings that take the form of geometric shapes, where a strict social class system is in place. Isosceles triangles are the poor low class, equilateral triangles are middle class, squares and five-sided shapes are high class, shapes of six sides or more are nobility, and circles are the ruling class. This dimension is rigidly, extraordinarily lawful and bureaucratic, where everyone and everything is expected to be orderly at all times. For example, there are fourteen billion genders among the species, so years of paperwork is required to specifically determine one's sexual orientation. (For anyone wondering, his result was attraction to about 88% of his kind's known genders. And yes, he's single!)

Being a square, this made Tad a wealthy and respected high-class citizen from birth. Although he mostly enjoyed life in his home universe, it was admittedly often very, VERY boring and he's always been the sort of curious fellow who loved to learn. Intrigued by what the rest of the multiverse had to offer, he decided to "travel abroad" and has been visiting and exploring countless other realities ever since.

Unlike Bill, who's chaotic nature conflicted with his world and society's ideals leading him to completely abandon his native universe, Tad is still in contact and on very good terms with his family back home. It might be better to say Tad knows of Bill more than he knows him personally. The two of them are acquaintances who've crossed paths on multiple occasions, but they don't get along and aren't on good terms with one another. What he knows about Bill he mostly knows from his reputation back in their native dimension; a middle-class, power-seeking chaos enthusiast driven mad by omniscience and social outcast for rejecting and rebelling against their society's traditions.

It's by sheer coincidence the two of them both managed to end up in Gravity Falls, Oregon, in Dimension 46'\. Bill knows about Tad's presence in the town, and vice versa, though neither care much about the other. Tad has no reason or desire to interfere with Bill's plans, and Bill knows Tad isn't going to get in his way. After all, there's nothing about this reality that's particularly special to him, so it wouldn't be a huge loss if anything happened to it, and he's prepared for anything that comes along.

Personality:

"Tad's the name, and being normal's my game!"

All things considered, Tad is a pretty down to earth guy. Yes, even considering the fact he's an eldritch creature from another dimension. He's generally very polite, friendly, genial, calm and restrained, and approaches most things thoughtfully and maturely. Having been raised well-off in an immensely orderly society, he's an organized person who almost never allows situations to get out of control. However, this doesn't make him a constantly businesslike stick-in-the-mud either. He may be responsible, but he understands all work and no play is the dullest possible way to live an immortal life.

Compared to many other beings of his kind Tad is much more empathetic, patient and understanding, not only when it comes to mortals but other entities like himself. While he may not agree with Bill's philosophies, he does understand them. Despite his upper class position he is highly aware of the injustices prevalent in his culture, knowing full well he was born very, very lucky. As such he doesn't hold the way others are born against them, since the manner one exists in can only be blamed on fate itself. Unfortunately he believes until those who currently have the most powerful and influence begin to adopt this attitude, nothing else can be done to make a significant change and unfairness is simply something that must be accepted, believing majority of sentient creatures will always strive for greatness over equality.

Unlike Bill's quest for knowledge that derives from the pursuit of power, Tad is more of a "tourist," and instead seeks to learn new things and gain new experiences purely for his personal enjoyment. After all, with a theoretically endless life, why not make the most of it? Because he's so receptive and understanding of others, no matter what species they are or what realm they inhabit, he's able to near-flawlessly present himself as, well... someone totally normal. This isn't to say he has no personal quirks or distinctions (his nearly obsessive fondness for bread, for instance), but his adaptability makes him so he's always perfectly within everyone's comprehension... except perhaps, ironically, many other eldritch entities that don't hail from his home universe. Still, the fact he also likes to keep a low profile may have something to do with it, as he's the type to observe and go with the flow rather than cause interference of any kind, which includes protecting any worlds that might be in danger. As far as he's concerned, it's not his place to get involved.

Tad does appreciate irony though, and none of it during his time spent in Gravity Falls is lost on him. In a town where abnormal is the norm, what's actually stranger than a guy who's entirely normal? And what's more ironic than that "normal guy" isn't even an actual human being or native to that reality? If you really think about it, in spite of being an interdimensional citizen, Tad is no more an "oddity" than Dipper or Mabel themselves. They're all outsiders who are now in Gravity Falls for the same reason; to fit in, see the sights and enjoy themselves.
You could even say that's just... a tad strange.

Powers/Abilities: Truth is? Tad doesn't actually have any abilities or skills that are all that special or powers unique for his species, unlike Bill, who's omniscience is not a common occurrence. All members of his species have incredible psychic power, and squares, shapes with six or more sides and circles can travel to other dimensions while still maintaining a physical form that they may change as they wish. Isoceles and equilateral triangles however cannot, they can only visit other universes via the mindscape (meaning that when Bill left behind his home reality behind he essentially gave up his physical form). Squares and above can also enter the mindscape, but there is usually little reason to do so since they can appear physically in other realms. Perhaps for someone as "normal" as Tad, this isn't too surprising. Then again, it might not be a stretch to call sympathy a special skill for a pseudo-Lovecraftian abomination like him...

Likes: Wheat and wheat by-products Bread and anything made from bread (particularly sandwiches), keeping a low profile, milk, tea, painting things white, community news and radio, traveling, tidiness/cleanliness, umbrellas, bowler hats, neckties, goats (they have his eyes! well, eye)

Dislikes: Gluten-free anything, caffeinated anything, being the center of attention, messiness, disorganization, getting wet/dirty, sudden loud noises, being called "boring," entities that consider mortals worthless.
